This New Protein Milk Also Has 4g Of Fiber Per Serving
American adults eat nearly double the recommended amount of protein each day and less than half the recommended amount of fiber, according to Circana's 2026 Eating Patterns in America report. They want more protein anyway. The same report found 48% of adults are seeking more of it, up 7 points from last year.
Kiki Milk is launching a drink built around both numbers. Kiki Milk Protein, a new USDA Organic line from parent company PlantBaby, delivers 10g of plant protein and 4g of fiber per serving. The protein comes primarily from sacha inchi, an Amazonian seed the company describes as a complete protein with all nine essential amino acids. The Original version is made with oats and has no gums, seed oils, or natural flavors.
Co-founder Alex Abelin pitches the launch as an argument against protein isolates. "When you create a protein isolate, the ingredient typically goes through significant processing to separate the protein from the rest of the seed," Abelin said in the launch announcement. That processing can cost a seed its fiber and healthy fats, Abelin added, so the company set out to keep sacha inchi as close to its original form as possible. Co-founder Lauren Abelin made the same case in seven words, saying that "protein without fiber is an incomplete equation."
The exclusion list is older than the protein line. All three were ruled out when PlantBaby launched Kiki Milk in December 2021 as an organic plant-based milk designed for kids. Original Kiki Milk lists 5g of plant protein and 2g of fiber per 8 fl oz serving. Getting to 10g took a new seed, not a new rulebook.
Kiki Milk Protein will sell in 32 oz six-packs for $49.99 through kikimilk.com and Amazon. That matches the $49.99 one-time price Kiki Milk lists for a six-pack of Original on its own site. The brand's core 32 oz cartons reached select Target stores in August 2025 at a $6.99 MSRP. Whether the protein line follows them onto those shelves, and at what price next to Original's $6.99, is the next thing to watch.
