When did you launch the business?
October 2019
What led you to where you are today?
I grew up overweight and ate a lot of unhealthy foods. I saw a lot of prominent athletes start becoming plant-based which sparked my interest in a plant-based lifestyle. That led me to study food science and ultimately start Mill It.
What do you wish you knew before embarking on your entrepreneurial journey?
It is so important to surround yourself with good people. Relationships are everything and even though we have had great products for a long time, having the wrong people around us kept us from greater initial success.
What is the most difficult decision you've had to make regarding your business so far?
COVID was very difficult. We had to decide whether we wanted to keep going. It put a lot of strain on our family, but seeing the hard work pay has been incredibly rewarding.
What can you help the VEGPRENEUR community with?
We just want to get the Best Taste is Plant Based message out there and provide more people access to healthy and sustainable foods.
How can the VEGPRENEUR community help you?
We are still growing and scaling so we have a lot to learn. Any help or recommendations from the community would be appreciated.
