What led you to where you are today?
After moving to Amsterdam over two years ago and transitioning to working from home, I realized I was tired of having to choose between wearing unsupportive indoor slippers or comfortable outdoor shoes at home. So I set out to create a solution that is the perfect cross between a slipper and a shoe that is made from innovative, 100% vegan materials. I spent the last year and a half designing, sourcing, and prototyping and now I am so excited to be live on Kickstarter.

What do you wish you knew before embarking on your entrepreneurial journey?
It's going to take longer than you think, but that's okay as long as you're not waiting for perfection. When I established my business in September 2018 I thought for sure I'd be launching by June 2019. Here I am in March 2020 launching my business, but I'm so glad it worked out that way otherwise I wouldn't have had the time I needed to hunt down each and every earth-friendly material that makes up a Dooeys slipshoe.

What can you help the VEGPRENEUR community with?
I love supporting other entrepreneurs pursuing their ideas. I can share my experience and learnings from starting a vegan fashion brand and launching on Kickstarter.
