What led you to where you are today?
Several years ago when my husband and I went vegan, I began cooking 100% plant-based at home. As a trained chef and avid cook, I found this process super exciting and creative. But I know that's not the case with everyone -- not at all! And so to make it easier for more people to go plant-based and stop eating animals, I decided to cook for them by making delicious vegan comfort foods everyone could enjoy.
What do you wish you knew before embarking on your entrepreneurial journey?
I wish I knew that there are essentially two paradigms for building a CPG food company -- high-growth startup or organic-growth traditional business -- and that you should always be crystal clear which yours is and why.
What can you help the VEGPRENEUR community with?
I have a deep background in food. I have an MA in Food Systems from NYU; I've worked as a buyer at Whole Foods; a Community Manager in a food incubator startup; and a grocery manager in a local Co-op grocery store.

My favorite easy comfort food meal is spaghetti with marinara sauce and a Coke.
