Founder Spotlight: Vlasdimir Spivak of Creative Pea
Meet Vlasdimir Spivak
Vladimir Spivak spent more than 20 years in food manufacturing before turning a stack of paper sketches into a pantry full of just-add-water meat. His company, Creative Pea, sells shelf-stable dry mixes that become burgers, kebabs, nuggets, and fishless sticks once you add water and oil, with an 18-month shelf life and no soy or gluten. The pea-protein line is already on shelves across multiple countries, run out of Ofakim in southern Israel.

What led you to where you are today?
After more than 20 years in the food manufacturing industry, I realized there was a need for simple, affordable, and shelf-stable protein solutions that could be used anywhere. This led me to create Creative Pea, combining my experience in food production with a passion for innovation, sustainability, and making high-protein foods more accessible to consumers and foodservice operators worldwide.
What do you wish you knew before embarking on your entrepreneurial journey?
I wish I had understood earlier how important focus and patience are in building a business. Success rarely happens overnight, and sustainable growth comes from consistently improving the product, listening to customers, and building strong relationships over time.
What is the most difficult decision you've had to make regarding your business so far?
One of the most difficult decisions was choosing to invest in building Creative Pea as a completely new category rather than following existing market trends. It required significant time, resources, and persistence, with no guarantee that customers would embrace the concept. Looking back, taking that risk was essential to creating something truly unique and scalable.
What can you help the VEGPRENEUR community with?
I can help fellow entrepreneurs with food manufacturing, product development, scaling production, international distribution, private label development, and building sustainable food brands. With more than 20 years of experience in the food industry, I enjoy sharing practical knowledge, lessons learned, and strategies for turning innovative food concepts into successful businesses.
How can the VEGPRENEUR community help you?
I would love to connect with distributors, retailers, foodservice operators, investors, and strategic partners who are interested in innovative, high-protein, shelf-stable food solutions. I am also always interested in learning from other founders and exploring collaboration opportunities that can help bring sustainable food products to more consumers around the world.
Fun fact about you:
A fun fact about me: I love turning simple ideas into real products. Many of Creative Pea's concepts started as sketches on paper and eventually became products sold in stores across multiple countries.
Anything else you would like to share?
I believe the future of food is not just about creating alternatives, but about making nutritious, sustainable, and affordable protein accessible to everyone. My mission with Creative Pea is to develop simple food solutions that reduce waste, simplify logistics, and help feed more people without compromising on taste or convenience.
