Animal Caregiving Internship at Woodstock Farm Sanctuary
Title of the Role: Animal Caregiving Internship
Short Description of Role: The internship program at Woodstock Farm Sanctuary provides individuals with a unique opportunity to advocate for and connect with farmed animals, to establish community with like-minded people, and to obtain real-life and resumé-worthy experience of the day-to-day operations of an animal sanctuary. The Shelter Team is responsible for the daily care of the 400 rescued animals living at Woodstock Farm Sanctuary. Animal Caregiving Interns are a vital part of the daily functioning of the sanctuary, and we could not do the work that we do without their help. Although responsibilities vary depending on the seasons and needs of the shelter, below is what is typically expected all year round from our Animal Caregiving Interns.
Company Description:
Woodstock Farm Sanctuary rescues farmed animals and gives them care and sanctuary, connects animals with people to advance veganism, and advocates for animal rights in alliance with other social justice movements. We welcome visitors to come and meet animals who are most commonly exploited, abused, and killed in animal agriculture. Our animal residents are given lifelong sanctuary and are treated with respect as individuals.
