What led you to where you are today?
I spent three years after college working at Kraft Heinz, doing marketing for some of the world's most prominent coffee brands. After a while I became wary of the side effects of coffee (jitters, anxiety, poor sleep) and the mediocre products I was working on, and I realized I was marketing brands that didn't care for or evoke the healthy lifestyle that I strive to live by. That was when I decided to quit the job and make a healthier coffee for myself, jam-packed with superfoods to support my health & longevity and provide a morning ritual that's actually good for the body & mind. Once I perfected that blend, RYZE was created.
What do you wish you knew before embarking on your entrepreneurial journey?
I wish it was more installed in my head that the impossible is possible. Several times throughout our journey already, my co-founder and I have been told by agencies and other counterparts that certain things cannot be accomplished, whether it be a specific marketing strategy, timeline, or other objective. Time and time again we've managed to defy that logic, and it all started with our core belief in what we're doing and our willingness to try. From this, we've learned that truly no one will understand your business the way you do, and you'll never know anything until you try.
What can you help the VEGPRENEUR community with
I am always more than happy to connect with other founders and give advice on how to build a brand via social media as well as growth hacks for e-commerce businesses.
How can the VEGPRENEUR community help you?
I love to connect with other entrepreneurs, hear their stories, and learn more about their experience. It's the most enjoyable way for me to learn and grow as well as get advice for my own business.
