What led you to where you are today?
I grew up in a family of hardworking entrepreneurs. I helped run our family businesses since I was 8. However, I craved a creative outlet. I wanted to pursue something that I was passionate about and could make a difference to the Earth and animals.
What do you wish you knew before embarking on your entrepreneurial journey?
I wish I knew a pandemic would happen in 2020. Who knew that could even be a possibility? Regardless, plans are never set in stone, and I continue to pivot and focus on my goals.
What is the most difficult decision you've had to make regarding your business so far?
As a startup, there's so much you want to do and spend your budget on. Choosing which services and products to spend your budget on is difficult when funds are limited. You do the best with what you have.
What can you help the VEGPRENEUR community with?
I'm happy to answer any questions about getting started in the sustainable fashion world. I'm also a breathwork coach and offer sessions free to my FB community - lighterlivingcircle. All are welcome to join.

I'd appreciate any help in spreading awareness of VALANI - sustainable, vegan clothing for women.
Fun fact about you:
I've been a vegan for over 24 years. I have 5 dogs that are all rescues and strays.
Anything else you would like to share?
VALANI uses only plant based fabrics that are biodegradable - hemp, Tencel, banana fabrics. We plant a tree for every garment sold.
