Brooklyn Cheese Brand Launches Vegan Bleu Crumbles
Edited by The VEGPRENEUR Team
Brooklyn-based artisanal vegan cheese brand RIND has announced the launch of a groundbreaking new product: Vegan Bleu Crumbles made with real roqueforti cultures.
Unlike most plant-based blue-style cheeses that rely on spirulina or beta-carotene for color and flavor, RIND’s new crumbles use authentic mold cultures to replicate the tangy taste and creamy texture of traditional bleu cheese. The result is a meltable, versatile product designed for salads, dips, burgers, sandwiches, baked goods, and more.
Raising the Bar for Plant-Based Cheese
“We’re excited to finally introduce this innovative new vegan product to the market,” said RIND co-founder Dina DiCenso. “We have long wanted to sell a version of our award-winning Bleu cheese in crumble format—using real mold cultures rather than relying on natural flavors and colorings. The authentic flavor and texture of our mold-fermented bleu crumbles elevates our product to a new level in the plant-based category.”
Like the rest of RIND’s artisanal lineup, the new Bleu Crumbles are:
Dairy-free
Gluten-free
Cholesterol-free
Allergen-free
They will also receive Kosher Pareve certification in fall 2025. Packaged in 4-oz containers with an MSRP of $5, Bleu Crumbles will be available in retail and foodservice channels.
