What led you to where you are today?
We started our last business when we were young – today, we need to think more about how we fuel ourselves through the day. With 10g lean plant protein per stick (as much as better meat sticks), 40% less sodium than meat sticks, and none of the saturated fat, cholesterol or ethical issues of meat, AGRO POWER Jerky gives us, and you, the power to do more. All while tasting great.
What do you wish you knew before embarking on your entrepreneurial journey?
The most important thing we’ve learned is that you need to actively work to enjoy what you are doing. No matter how well things go, there will inevitably be challenges and frustrations because you’re trying to create something that no one else ever has. Step back, and really try to enjoy the process. It’s truly special and something that not many other people on earth are able to do.
What is the most difficult decision you've had to make regarding your business so far?
There is too much to do and not enough time to do it. So we need to be extremely rigorous about what to actively focus on. That results in some important, but not the highest priority, things falling through the cracks. That can be frustrating. But it’s the right thing to do, for your business and for you.
What can you help the VEGPRENEUR community with?
A reminder to focus on what consumers are excited about. Far too often plant-forward foods forget that people want to eat things that taste great and give them health benefits.

Anything else you would like to share?
Plant-based foods should be a great success! They should be better for you, better for the planet, delicious, and competitively priced. But they have struggled in recent years. So we are applying everything we learned building our last business to help transition more people to willingly eating more plants! In short, we have made AGRO POWER Jerky something that people will want to buy rather than something they’re told they “should”. We think it’s a game-changer.
