Product Spotlight: Mrs. Goldfarb's Unreal Deli
Plant-made deli meats inspired by 100 years of New York Deli history.
What Is Unreal Deli?
Founded by Mrs. Jenny Goldfarb, great granddaughter of a New York deli owner, Unreal Deli uses plant-based ingredients to make good-for-you and good-for-the-planet deli meats. All of their meats are complete proteins that are vegan, kosher, low-carb, and low-fat.
The varieties of meats currently available on their website include: Corn’d Beef Slices, Roasted Turk’y Slices, Chick’n Strips, Corn'd Beef Crumble, and Unreal Taco Meat.
My Thoughts:
I tried both Unreal Deli’s Corn’d Beef Slices and Roasted Turk’y Slices. My first impression was how textured and “meat-like” the slices looked and felt. While I’ve never tasted animal-derived corned beef and am unable to compare Unreal’s slices in that respect, I definitely enjoyed the taste of it.
My favorite was definitely the Roasted Turk’y! I caught myself scarfing down the entire sandwich I made with it, and ended up eating the entire pack of Turk’y slices within a couple of days! I was really impressed by the flavor and the texture reminds me of what I remember of turkey.
Overall, I’m really excited about Unreal Deli’s products, and I’m excited to see what they have planned for the future!
