What is Plantcraft?

Plantcraft is a plant-based meat company founded by Csaba Hetenyi & Kati Ohens. The newly launched brand sells plant-based pâté and with pepperoni slices soon on the way.

I had the opportunity to try Plantcraft’s two different flavors of pâté: mild and spicy.

If you’re anything like me, I had questions about pâté, since I’d never tried it before. Thankfully, the Plantcraft website filled me in:

What is pâté?
Pâté is a delicious and rich spread, traditionally made from a mixture of various meats and vegetables. It is extremely popular in sandwiches or by itself in cuisines across both Eastern and Western Europe, as well as in Vietnam.

Upon trying the pâté, my first impression was the flavor. WOW. So incredibly bold and flavorful! While the spicy version does have a kick, I didn’t find it to be exponentially spicier than the original version. While I’m unable to compare it to animal-derived pâté, I enjoyed it nonetheless!
