What led you to where you are today?
It started simple enough: We wanted ice cream we could eat without consequences. Finding some that were dairy-free, allergen-friendly, and good for the planet is where things got complicated. Our options were limited, and we could only dream of good days with cold spoons, excited taste buds, and happy bellies. We explored different possibilities to make our dream a reality and found an answer in one of the most nutritious and regenerative foods on the planet: hemp. That was our Lucky Day! Now we’re bringing delicious, worry-free enjoyment to all.
What do you wish you knew before embarking on your entrepreneurial journey?
Nothing ever goes exactly as planned — and that’s okay. Things change, and you just have to stay calm and keep moving forward. Trust that everything will turn out the way it’s meant to.
What is the most difficult decision you've had to make regarding your business so far?
The most difficult decision wasn’t really a choice — the product was having issues, and I’m not a food scientist. I didn’t have the skills to fix it, and staying up all night spiraling wasn’t going to change anything. We had already invested heavily in R&D, but when it became clear the formula wasn’t working, I had to accept it, cut our losses, and move forward.
What can you help the VEGPRENEUR community with?
I can share lessons from building an early-stage, mission-driven food brand and navigating product development, crowdraising, and growth in the plant-based space.
How can the VEGPRENEUR community help you?
I'm always looking to connect with thoughtful founders, advisors, and collaborators who share a commitment to building a better food system. Any connections, advice, or insights around scaling a mission-driven brand are greatly appreciated.
Fun fact about you:
I eat at least 365 organic avocados per year.
Anything else you want to share?:
I'm excited to be part of a community that’s helping shape the future of food. Looking forward to learning from and supporting others on the journey.
