What led you to where you are today?

After going vegan in 2015 I knew I wanted to become a vegan entrepreneur. In pursuit of the right idea, frustration about how difficult it was to shop vegan clothes sparked the idea for Shop Like You Give a Damn came in 2017. After that, it was working hard and mostly buying time to exist long enough to gain enough traction within the still very small vegan, fair and sustainable fashion market.

What do you wish you knew before embarking on your entrepreneurial journey?

That it's nearly impossible to build a scalable B2C business without raising capital.

What is the most difficult decision you've had to make regarding your business so far?

Deciding to pivot to a completely different business model only four months after we launched.

What can you help the VEGPRENEUR community with?

Networking. With Vevolution and The V-Entrepreneurs Network, I connect vegan businesses with each other.

How can the VEGPRENEUR community help you?

I am looking for someone who can mentor me on the topic of scaling a marketplace.
