What led you to where you are today?
I was inspired by the growth of the plant-based movement around the world, as well as the rise of Philippine cuisine on a global stage. As a biologist from one of the most biodiverse countries in the world, I truly believe going plant-based is the key to preserving our environment, and ultimately to a more food secure world.
What do you wish you knew before embarking on your entrepreneurial journey?
If I knew COVID-19 was coming, I would have started this entrepreneurial journey earlier. Starting a food business during a pandemic is tough. As many of our suppliers and customers are still in some form of lockdown, important tasks take twice as long to accomplish.
What is the most difficult decision you've had to make regarding your business so far?
As the business model adjusted when COVID-19 hit, the skill sets required to grow the business must adjust as well. We had to let go of good employees who could not adapt to the new business model.

I would love to share ideas on how to be a plant-based food entrepreneur in our part of the world.
