What led you to where you are today?
The market is saturated with products that use harmful chemicals, artificial ingredients, and packaging that is just as much of a pollutant as the product inside it. And these products embody how the average person defines cleanliness. For Shreya, there was nothing clean about any of that. And so began the Hyve revolution. By harnessing good microbes to create a new kind of clean, she developed a company to help others clean the way mother nature intended while helping to preserve our global home.
What do you wish you knew before embarking on your entrepreneurial journey?
1. Getting help is hard 2. Being a solopreneur is lonely 3. Hiring great people is difficult 4. Become skilled at sales and marketing 5. Be more patient.
What is the most difficult decision you've had to make regarding your business so far?
It is so easy to quit, especially when this is my 5 pm-9 pm because I have a 9 am-5 pm. I keep reminding myself that I started this because my mission goes beyond me and that mission is worth it. So every day, I make the decision to drive forward and to embrace my failures.
What can you help the VEGPRENEUR community with?
Resources. The most difficult thing to do is to sort through information and I look forward to sharing what has worked for me and what has not.
