What led you to where you are today?
Finding a way to combine all of my true passions, health, fashion, and technology took me on a journey of finding out how to make clothing that does more than just look good on the body. I realized on my plant based journey that what we put into our bodies is equally as important as what we put into it.
What do you wish you knew before embarking on your entrepreneurial journey?
I wish I'd known the stress of financing a business out of pocket. Finding access to capital has been the biggest struggle, especially as a black, woman-owned company.
What is the most difficult decision you've had to make regarding your business so far?
I've had to turn down some potential opportunities for their lack of alignment with the company values and choices to remain eco concious, and sustainable.
What can you help the VEGPRENEUR community with?
My company offers an option to place just as much value on what goes onto the body as what goes into it. Healing fibers that are also bio-based(meaning they contain at least 20% renewable carbon content) are not only a sect of bio technology, but also brings plant based and vegan living full circle for those that take their well being seriously.
