What led you to where you are today?
I started Redbloom out of my personal battle with IBS, knowing the pain of having to wake up everyday to eat bland food, powders, pills, and gummies while holding my stomach. I wanted to create a product that not only makes flavor more accessible to IBS sufferers but also a natural medicine that can heal as well.
What do you wish you knew before embarking on your entrepreneurial journey?
I wish I knew that a company's success is not if they got it right the first time or even the tenth time. It's based on how fast you can iterate and improve your product and market positioning. Let's say you improve 2% every time - a company that iterates once every 4 days is going to look a lot different than a company that iterates once every 4 weeks in a year.
What is the most difficult decision you've had to make regarding your business so far?
Sticking with our 16 clinically-backed whole ingredients, knowing that this makes it way harder to get certifications and get into retailers. We wanted to stay true to our product and didn't want to strip it down to scale big box retailers too early.
What can you help the VEGPRENEUR community with?
I've helped a lot of founders go through the fundraising process, having gone through the process myself. I'm also a partner at a VC in the SaaS space. So I know the process from both a founder and an investor. I'm also very good at hacking digital marketing funnels
