What led you to where you are today?

When my family was increasing our plant-based eating it was impossible to create meals we all enjoyed. My kids didn't like the texture or taste of the healthy food and healthy food took too long to make so I created a plant-based protein that all types of eaters could enjoy without fuss and with a 10/10 taste and texture that I felt proud about feeding my kids.

What do you wish you knew before embarking on your entrepreneurial journey?

Mindset is the hardest part of this journey. I regularly remind myself to look at each stage of the journey as a glass half full vs. a glass half empty. Both are equally true, but the glass half-empty naturally gets more attention. However, I've come to appreciate there is more energy created with a glass-half-full mindset, and that energy is infectious.

What is the most difficult decision you've had to make regarding your business so far?

The difficult part is always making any change with people.

What can you help the VEGPRENEUR community with?

I'd love to help anyone that is driven to make a difference and can do that by helping solve any problem they are facing but my specialized skill is helping test drive financial assumptions.

How can the VEGPRENEUR community help you?

I'd love help from the VEGPRENEUR community in trying Om Noms and sharing information about Om Noms with their friends and family. My hope is they bring joy and simplicity to you.

Fun fact about you:

My heritage is Greek and I grew up where food was celebratory and central to family life. The name and essence of Yumasoy was inspired by the Greek word "Yamas" which is a celebratory word and cheerful wish to good health.

Anything else you would like to share?

I'm married to a great guy and we have two amazing daughters that inspire me every day.
