About Your Opportunity: Farm Sanctuary seeks a dynamic and creative Senior Director of Brand and Content to join our passionate team. The Senior Director will be responsible for shaping and implementing Farm Sanctuary’s brand identity, content, and strategy to enhance its digital and offline audience and grow revenue. This individual will lead a team of talented professionals, including a Director of Content, a Writer, two Content Marketing Producers, a Media Relations Specialist, an Audio-Visual Content Producer, and a Senior Manager of Photo and Video Production.
Responsibilities:
- Brand Strategy
- Develop and execute Farm Sanctuary’s brand strategy to ensure consistency and resonance across all communication channels.
- Oversee the development of brand guidelines, ensuring consistent messaging and visual representation across all platforms.
- Content Creation and Management
- Lead the content team in creating compelling, informative, and engaging content for various channels, including social media, website, email campaigns, and print materials.
- Ensure content aligns with Farm Sanctuary's values and resonates with the target audience.
- Create content for the development team, both online and offline assets, in collaboration with the Chief - - Development Officer.
- Audience Engagement
- Develop and implement strategies to increase audience engagement, reach new demographics, and amplify the impact of Farm Sanctuary’s message.
- Storytelling
- Craft compelling narratives to effectively communicate Farm Sanctuary’s mission, values, and impact, with a focus on activism and advocacy.
- Media Relations
- Supervise the media and public relations manager to secure media coverage, enhance Farm Sanctuary’s visibility, and amplify key messages to a broader audience.
- Campaign Development
- Contribute to the planning and execution of campaigns and initiatives aimed at raising awareness about factory farming and promoting ethical and sustainable alternatives.
- Revenue Growth and Development
- Work closely with the Chief Development Officer to develop content and strategy to grow revenue, engaging donors and supporters effectively.
- Develop fundraising campaigns and initiatives, integrating compelling narratives to drive financial support.
- Team Management
- Supervise and provide guidance to the Director of Content, Writer, Content Marketing Producers, Audio-= - - - Visual Content Producer, Media and Public Relations Specialist, and Senior Manager of Photo and Video Production.
- Foster a collaborative and creative work environment, encouraging professional growth and development among team members.
- Coordinate team efforts to meet deadlines and achieve strategic goals.
- Cross-Functional Leadership
- Lead the Brand and Marketing "pod," a cross-functional team that works collaboratively to create compelling content, engage supporters, and grow the audience and revenue.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to develop joint initiatives, co-branded content, and mutually beneficial relationships.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ideal candidate will have 5 to 8 years of experience in brand management, content creation, or related roles.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Strong strategic thinking and analytical abilities.
Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing and inspiring high-performing teams.
Compelling storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and compellingly.
Proven track record of hands-on experience in digital marketing, deep understanding of organizational social media trends and history of successfully navigating emerging platforms.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and constituents.
Results-oriented mindset with the ability to analyze data, measure the impact of content initiatives, and adjust strategies accordingly.
Experience utilizing software platforms to work efficiently, including but not limited to Asana, Slack, Virtual meetings, and Google Suite. Proficient with virtual platforms and tools.

Job Specifications:
Terms of employment: Regular, full-time, exempt position
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Direct reports: Approximately 6
Location: Remote in the United States
Pay: $115,000-130,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications
Travel: 1 to 4 times a year, regionally or nationally
